Punk Rock n Raise saw three local punk bands get together to raise money for Graham Wylie Foundation!
The night was a huge success with local punks getting together to support their favourite bands whilst raising money for the charity whose current project is the brand new music therapy centre in Newcastle, the only one in the North. Something all bands and people attending were happy to support and be a part of!
The night kicked off with Zombiehater bringing their unique blend of horror and punk to the stage to sing songs about… you guessed it… zombies. Clear inspiration from Misfits, Blitz Kids and old horror b-movies. Perfect start to the night! These young lads are definitely a band to watch out for!
Following this was Force Fed Lies, this band are a wall of pure aggression with songs that hit home on a lot of topics that some bands might consider too sensitive, but not this band! Always playing the local north east punk circuit so make sure you don’t miss them!
Crashed Out headlined the show with their unique blend of oi! punk and modern rock n roll! Never forgetting their Geordie roots and never letting the audience down as these guys know how to get the crowd chanting and moving about the place! This band are on the top of the North East Punk food chain and couldn’t have asked for a better band to help make every note count for children and young people of the north east!
The total amount of money raised was £465.15!
Absolutely amazing night, the first and hopefully not the last Punk Rock n Raise!
Thank you to SSD Concerts, Crate Digger Records, all the bands and everyone who punk rocked and raised!
