The running had been done, thanks to the inspirational efforts of more than 50,000 Great North Runners. And then it was time to Rock and Raise. Dubbed the ‘after party’ for the Great North Run, the inaugural Run, Rock ‘n’ Raise concert at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle offered runners, spectators and anyone else who fancied it the chance to enjoy a top drawer gig while raising thousands of pounds for a trio of deserving causes.
