The Hairy Bikers are set to Rock n Raise the roof at a special charity music event in Newcastle next month. (October)

The pair, Si King and Dave Myers, will headline The Hairy Rock Show; a one-off charity gig at Wylam Brewery, Exhibition Park, on Thursday 25 October.

Si King’s band Little Moscow, fresh from their smash live set at Cornbury festival, will also be performing on the night.

Special Guest star joining the lads on stage will be Thunder frontman and Planet Rock DJ Danny Bowes, who will be DJ for the night, spinning some classic rock and roll tunes.

Held to raise funds for the Graham Wylie Foundation, Teenage Cancer Trust and Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Centre, Rock n Raise events are supported by a host of music industry big hitters such as Sting and The Kaiser Chiefs.

“Dave and I are so looking forward to Rockin n Raisin,” said Si. “It’s gonna be a night of epic proportions, reminiscent of the Friday Rock Night at the Newcastle Mayfair.

“But the cherry on the top is that every penny raised will help the children and young people of the North East.”

The event will also feature a Nosh Pit – where guests can tuck into ‘rock n roll’ burgers, specially created for the occasion to Hairy Bikers’ Ultimate Burger recipe by Wylam Brewery, whose director Dave Stone said: “We at Wylam Brewery are honoured to host this amazing charity event which will rock and of course raise much needed funds for incredibly important causes.

“It is always a pleasure to assist the Graham Wylie Foundation in their tireless efforts to support those in need.”

The Graham Wylie Foundation gives 100 per cent of its donations directly to good causes, such as Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Centre, Jesmond, which was built by the foundation and now delivers life transforming music therapy to children and young people from across the region.

“Through Rock n Raise, we have been able to bring some of the biggest names in music together to support people here in the North East,” said Graham Wylie.

“And this is going to be no exception. It’ll be a fantastic night – great music, great food and the chance to just have a really good time while raising money for those who need it.”
